People in Afghanistan started voting in a run-off presidential election on Saturday.
The voting was officially inaugurated at at 7:10 am in Kabul by Independent Election Commission (IEC) chief and other IEC officials.
Noor Mohammad Noor, spokesman for the Independent Election Commission (IEC), said the voting will continue until 4:00 pm.
Noor once again assured the Afghan people regarding the security precautions and said necessary coordination are in place to ensure better security for the voters.
He also added that 15 million ballots have been printed for the runoff election and have been handed over to polling stations.
Though, the voting process will be faster than April 5th elections since there will be no voting for provincial council election; however, Noor said that the voters can go to other polling sites in case there was too much in the polling station located near their residence.
